How It Works:

During the procedure, the cryogenic agent is applied directly to the lesion for a few seconds to several minutes, depending on its size and location. The intense cold causes the water in the cells to freeze, forming ice crystals that rupture the cell membranes. This disrupts the blood supply to the lesion, ultimately causing it to die and slough off over time. Surrounding healthy tissue is generally unharmed due to the precise application.

Aftercare and Recovery:

After the treatment, the area may blister or become slightly inflamed, which is a normal part of the healing process. The lesion usually falls off within 7-14 days. Keeping the area clean and avoiding picking at the scab or blister can help prevent infection and promote proper healing.
